In Between - The fear of changing careers & why you should DEFINITELY do it.

Date: 12 October

Time: 12.00-13.00 CEST

About the Speaker
Chris is a proud alumnus of the Business Development program at Hyper Island’s Stockholm campus. He believes that life is not about handing out success, but rather presenting us with challenges that make us grow. And the way to do so is to dare to try and fail fast. He walked away from his job as an Aerospace engineer, to explore what he truly wanted to do: inspire people to grow. A learner at heart, Chris lives life with pure curiosity, which has probably fuelled his 10 career changes in 10 years. His mantra in life is: “When I’m 70 I still want to ask myself, what do I want to become when I grow up?”.

About the Session
Why do we stay in uninspiring careers or jobs? Why do we settle for something that's good enough to stay, but not bad enough to leave? Chris believes it’s because we’d rather choose unhappiness over uncertainty. If you could change careers knowing that you would succeed in finding your dream job, would you do it?
Chris is a king of curiosity and, during his career changes, he’s found strategies to deal with change and uncertainty. In this session, you’ll hear all about his exciting journey and gain valuable and actionable tools that will help improve your decision making.

Intention & Desired Outcome
To help you understand what’s holding you back from making a professional change in your life that can lead to growth and what you actually want. We want you to glide away from this session with tools and frameworks that’ll help you navigate through the uncertainty of a career change. Take the first steps to identifying your current fears, and discover the Hyper Island models  that Chris holds dear. Let’s come together and share the power of owning multiple careers.
