What is a Creative Studio?
A creative studio works with a wide range of projects and business challenges across various industries. Some common types of projects and challenges that a creative studio may work on include:
Branding and Identity: Developing brand strategies, creating logos, designing visual identities, and establishing brand guidelines.
Graphic Design: Designing marketing materials such as brochures, posters, banners, packaging, and promotional items.
Web and Digital Design: Creating user-friendly and visually appealing websites, mobile apps, and digital interfaces.
Advertising and Marketing Campaigns: Developing creative concepts and visuals for advertising campaigns across different channels, including print, digital, social media, and outdoor advertising.
Content Creation: Producing engaging content such as videos, animations, infographics, and social media visuals.
User Experience (UX) Design: Designing intuitive and seamless user experiences for websites, apps, and other digital products, focusing on usability and accessibility.
Environmental and Experiential Design: Creating immersive brand experiences through environmental graphics, signage, retail space design, exhibition design, and event branding.
Packaging Design: Designing packaging solutions that are visually appealing, functional, and aligned with brand identity.
Illustration and Artwork: Creating custom illustrations, artwork, and visual assets to enhance brand communication and storytelling.
Creative Consultation: Providing strategic guidance, brainstorming sessions, and creative problem-solving for businesses seeking innovative solutions.
It's important to note that the specific projects and challenges a creative studio works with may vary depending on their expertise, industry focus, and the needs of their clients.
In this course, the students will collaborate with their clients within areas connected to the clients business needs. This does not mean that the students will solve all the above-mentioned areas; rather focus on 1-2 areas that are of top priority for their clients.
HOW WILL YOU COLLABORATE?
Experience based Peer-Learning
In this collaborative experience the students will apply a Design Thinking approach following the process of empathise, define, ideate, prototype and test alongside the Hyper Island Experience Based Learning process of doing, reflecting, generalising and applying. In connection with this, the client will take an active role in providing feedback-loops and anchoring the process and progress of the work to their business needs.
Meetings: The client and the student team are expected to meet at least once a week.
THE HYPER ISLAND WAY
The Hyper Island Way™ is about doing. By working with clients the students will grow and find the confidence to be what’s next in the industry.
This also emphasises peer-learning and exchange of experience, perspectives and knowledge between students and industry professionals.
COMMUNITY INNOVATION
Peer-learning is the bedrock of innovative growth, sparking the kind of creativity and problem-solving that no single mind can generate on its own. By enabling the exchange of diverse ideas and perspectives, it fosters a collective wisdom that drives groundbreaking solutions. By investing in peer-learning, we're not just facilitating knowledge sharing – we're pioneering a culture of collaborative innovation.
