A Hyper Island Apprenticeship will take you on a transformative journey to become a new kind of leader that goes beyond conventional thinking practice to create even more efficient & effective team.

Equipping you with the Knowledge, Skills, Behaviours & a robust toolkit to use at work, you will leave unafraid to innovate and change the rules. Ensuring you are able to adapt & constantly manage change to remain relevant and successful.

DOING.

The Hyper Island Way™ is about doing. Change is hard and change is constant so you need to learn to continuously learn. And this you will do by making, creating, testing and building. You will need to be curious and daring. You need to question and challenge status quo’s. And you’ll need to be explorative and up to try new things. This is the type of people we make at Hyper Island. If you are willing to lean in and rise to the challenge, you will grow and find the confidence to be what’s next.

BEING.

The Hyper Island Way™ is also about being. That means it begins by understanding that change starts with you. Your values, your beliefs and your purpose are important components. Change is hard and change is constant and you really need to be able to lead yourself first and foremost to handle it. You also need to understand yourself to lead others. And you need be open to different perspectives to handle the ever increasing disruption driven by technology.

What is an Apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship, in it's simplest form, is anyone that is being formally upskilled while in the workplace. 

Using information gathered from many different 'Trailblazers' the government has agreed different  sets of Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours that need to be met, in order to fulfill 100s of different types of Apprenticeships spanning from Level 2 all the way up to Level 7.

In order to learn, embrace & embed all these new learnings, you will join us at least once a month to experience a Hyper Island campus day, where you will be given all the tools, theories, methodologies etc to take straight back into your workplace. These campus days will help form some of your 'Off the job training' hours while at the same time offering direction on how to fulfil the remaining hours needed to complete the apprenticeship. 

Apprenticeships offer you a deeper understanding of what 'Safeguarding & Prevent' means to both you as an individual and also to your business and what part you play in keeping safe. You will be given 'Information & Guidance' on your individual learning & development and will achieved a Level 2 'Functional Skill' in both maths & English where needed.

The final piece of the Apprenticeship puzzle concludes with you showing off all your new found Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours in an 'End Point Assessment'.

TRANSFORM YOUR SKILLS

You will learn how to apply design thinking into your everyday discipline. By exploring problem solving with a user-oriented process and related fields such as business transformation and innovation, you will gain the knowledge to lead the change in this evolving industry.

SELF      LEADERSHIP

Empowering you to own your learning and development. Leading self before leading others is the way to lead the change. Assuming we have a great design, strong insights, a good business case, and enough money; how do we put together the right team, manage time and communication within that team, cope with shifting deadlines, multiple deliverables and parallel projects and work effectively with colleagues.

DEEPER UNDERSTANDING

Understand the foundation in process design for problem solving and user-oriented mindset. Leverage digital technologies and prototyping to test theories. Utilise project management skills, gain business acumen and learn to build and lead an effective team

Hyper Island Apprenticeships include real world briefs, set by both internal and external companies, giving you space to try new new skills & work with in teams, all in a fail safe setting.

We introduce guest speakers & industry leaders to promote different leadership styles and to ensure that you have the most up to date and current information possible.

The Hyper Island experience is immersive & thought provoking, do not expect a traditional classroom environment. All we ask is that you show up authentically and most of all, be curious!
